Low Fat Lunch Recipe # 2: Open Egg Salad Sandwich

I think this egg salad sandwich is one of the easiest low fat lunch recipes you can find. It’s delicious, and low in fat.

Ingredients:

2 hard boiled eggs, diced

2 Tbsp diced onions

2 Tbsp diced celery

1 slice crisp bacon

1.5 Tbsp low fat mayonnaise

1.5 tsp minced fresh parsley

1/2 tsp Dijon mustard

1/4 tsp horseradish

2 slices of toasted Italian bread

2 lettuce leaves

1/2 tomato, divide in 1/4 wedges

This is what you do:

Combine eggs, onion, celery, bacon, mayo, parsley, mustard and horseradish.

Top each slice of bread with 1 lettuce leaf, 1/2 of the egg mixture and 1 tomato wedge.

Nice and easy…

Low Fat Polenta Recipes: Herb Polenta and Grilled Tomatoes

You’re gonna like this low rich polenta recipe. You really will, I word!

The polenta is flavored with delicious aromatic herbs, and accompannied by sweet grilled tomatoes. But this is not a dish that you’ll be happy with just one advance, and if you’re particularly hungry, it may be a good idea to have a couple of portions with something other (grilled chicken or fish, as luck may have it) and, of course, good company. ;-)

This dish serves 6.

Low Fat Dessert Recipe: Passionfruit Ricotta Cakes

Why does everyone assume low fleshy dessert doesn’t exist?
In fact, there are quite many dessert recipes that taste like heaven and won’t make you feel actually transgressing afterwards.

Ricotta is a great low fat cheese and I’m sure you’ll enjoy this ricotta based weight loss watcher dessert formulary.

If you don’t like passionfruit, you have power to substitute it for other fruits, resembling peach, mandarines or my favorites: strawberries.

Ginger and Lime Fish: A Delicious Low Fat Entree

Ingredients:

1/2 kg of thick fish fillet (cod would do)

2 tsp fresh ginger, minced

1 Tbsp soy sauce

2 Tbsp water

1/3 cup of lime juice (fresh)

This is what you do

Spray a baking dish with low fat oil.

Next, mix the ginger and sauce together with the lime juice, and pour the mixture over the fish and tag the 2 tablespoons of water.

Marinate for 20 minutes and preheat your over at 180 C (375 F) in the meantime.

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes, and that’s it!

Uncover and sprinkle with account pepper.

Didn’t I tell you it was very easy to prepare!?

This dish goes well with a nice derogatory advantage carb blocker beer…

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A protein found only in the intestines may help lead the way to a vaccine that can treat colon cancers and perhaps other tumors too, U.S. researchers reported on Tuesday.

Mice immunized with the protein and then infected with colon tumors had fewer tumors spread to the lung and liver than usual, they reported in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.

Many cancer vaccines are in the works but researchers are struggling to find the right targets, called antigens, that are found only on tumors and not in healthy tissue.
